Spring

Blooming nature

When the snow begins to melt, Swedish nature comes back to life. Spring is a perfect time to get outdoors. Discover blooming flower fields, green forests and the freshness of nature. The mild temperatures make it ideal for long walks and exploring Sweden's beautiful landscapes.

Explore the cities

In spring, Sweden's cities are vibrant and inviting, with Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö in the top three. The great thing about these Swedish cities? They are perfect to explore on foot. All three offer their own coastline, perfect for getting a breath of fresh air. Plus, the mild sunshine is ideal for a day of strolling around the city and discovering all the special museums and designer shops Sweden has to offer!

Summer

Midsommar

Summer is one of the most popular seasons in Sweden, and we understand that. In Sweden the summer starts for real with the celebration of Midsommar. It is celebrated both in backyards and in public locations, perfect for getting acquainted with this special holiday during your trip. Maypoles are decorated, people dance, and the tables are filled with delicious Swedish snacks and local schnapps, accompanied by traditional songs.

Lakes and sea

In Sweden you find both beautiful lakes as well as a wonderful coastline, perfect for activities on the water! Explore the beautiful islands around Stockholm or Gothenburg by kayak or boat. In this season, you can hardly go wrong. Take a ferry to one of the many islands, and we guarantee you will automatically bump into a beautiful idyllic beach or village there. Are you inland? Luckily Sweden has an incredible amount of lakes, so go swimming in or kayaking on one of those and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Autumn

Autumn walk

At the end of September, Sweden shows its diversity in all its glory. Whereas in Skåne you can still walk the streets in shorts, in the rest of Sweden the leaves soon turn gold and orange. Both city and country transform into a magical autumnal landscape. If you go higher up, you may even encounter snow and frozen lakes at this time. There is something for everyone!

Culinary holidays

Autumn is also the season of harvest festivals and culinary events. Visit local markets and festivals where you can taste seasonal dishes such as mushrooms and all sorts of berries. On the coast too, cuisine flourishes in this season, with oyster tours, crayfish parties or cooking workshops using locally caught fish. So autumn is the perfect time to learn more about traditional Swedish cuisine!

Winter

Northern Lights spotting

During the winter months, from November to March, you have the chance to admire the spectacular Northern Lights. In fact, 2025 is predicted to be one of the best years to see this phenomenon, with an aurora stronger and more frequent than ever before. You don't even have to travel to the far north anymore to spot this natural phenomenon!

Winter sports

Sweden is a great destination for winter sports. Not only for (cross country) skiing and snowboarding, but also for ice skating! For outdoor enthuasists there are many other winter activities to explore, such as ice karting, ice fishing, snow boot hiking, dog sledding and snow mobile touring. Enjoy the fresh air and unique Swedish scenery. And after a day in the cold, it's time to warm up in a sauna and relax.
